Spring is, without a doubt, the best season to visit Morocco. This is the time when the desert is teeming with life, due to the arrival of the much needed rains. Some of the most charismatic birds of the region will be breeding at this time, including Hoopoe Lark, Desert Wheatear or Houbara Bustard.
For most people, the words “Caribbean coast” conjure up images of turquoise waters, white sand beaches, coconut trees, margaritas and a hammock beneath a shining sun. The truth is that this image is not far from reality. The Caribbean is a paradise for the senses and for bird lovers, things just keep getting better and better.
On this special spring tour, we cover a rich variety of landscape and habitats each day from our base near Barbate, travelling from the mouth of the River Guadalquivir on the Atlantic coast, to the River Guadarranque that flows down from the sierras to the Mediterranean.
Apart from our regularly scheduled tours, we can also arrange customized trips for small groups to any destination where Whitehawk operates. If the dates or itineraries we offer do not fit your exact needs, please contact us and we will be happy to arrange a personalized trip that is just right for you and your traveling companions.
Apart from our scheduled tours, Whitehawk also offers short guided birdwatching opportunities via excursions that can be adjusted to fit your schedule. Our guides know the best places to observe birds locally, and also have extensive knowledge about the rest of the fauna, flora and history of the region in which they guide. This is a fantastic way to spend a half day or a full day during your vacation, either on your own or with the entire family.
